HHSE Website WOES May Finally Be Over!

Greetings HHSE Friends - thanks to technical help from BLUE ZOO CREATIVE, we have finally navigated the insanity that is known as "GoDaddy/AIRO" web hosting. Several months ago, GoDaddy decided that A.I. Chat Bots were better (or cheaper?) than actual customer service humans... and this has been ONE of several problems for updating the HannoverHouse.com site.

One of the most annoying problems was that the Domain Registration name ("HannoverHouse.com") has been with Network Solutions since 1999... and web traffic has been directed to the GoDaddy site for HannoverHouse.com.

However, when we UPDATED the HannoverHouse site, we had to use their AIRO / A.I. system since humans were not accessible. In doing this, we inadvertently / unknowingly accepted that the URL in the address bar would NO LONGER read HannoverHouse.com... but would instead be some long-winded AIRO.AI address. Why? We found out today.

You see, AIRO/A.I. doesn't maintain PERMANENT I.P. Addresses for the websites they hose. GoDaddy keeps CHANGING the I.P. addresses, usually every day. Once we determined that this is why our I.P. updates to Network Solutions kept going to "blank pages" within hours, we found a solution. Apparently, GoDaddy determined that it's SAFER against hackers to switch up the I.P. addresses of websites that they host. But if GoDaddy doesn't also "hold" the URL Domain Registration, the only way they can "direct" a site from Network Solutions (or another domain name provider) to GoDaddy now is to use the goofy AIRO.AI address (with the actual "I.P." unseen behind that changing daily).

SO - it's probably a good anti-hacking step. But if you're domain is registered outside of GoDaddy, and you WANT the URL address bar to read the name of YOUR BUSINESS instead of a goofy "scam" looking address, then you MUST move your domain registration to GoDaddy.  Accordingly, that's where we are right today.

The website is updated, and the Domain Registration transfer to GoDaddy is "in progress." We're told it's a 24-to-48 hour process.

This issue of website updates has been a good example of why A.I. is NOT good for replacing humans for customer service needs. It has been a NIGHTMARE of time suck and lost productivity.  ONWARD!!
